YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how Phoenix AU handles information when you use our Android app, website, and account services. Phoenix AU helps businesses calculate density, karat, and pricing, save calculation history, and print receipts.
1. Information we handle
- Account information: your name, email address, account identifier, password hash, subscription dates and status, and account-access status. Accounts are created by an administrator. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than readable passwords; the administrator provides your initial or reset password.
- Calculation history: customer names you enter, dry and wet weights, base rate, selected currency, density, karat, total price, and calculation and synchronization timestamps. Records are saved on your device and synchronized to your account when cloud access is available.
- App and printer settings: your selected currency, paper width, and the name and Bluetooth address of the printer you select. These settings are stored on your device. The app can list paired Bluetooth devices when you choose a printer.
- Session information: the Android app stores a sign-in token. The admin website uses an essential session cookie to keep administrators signed in.
- Support and service information: information you send by email, together with technical request information such as IP addresses and request times that hosting providers may process to deliver and protect the service.
Enter only customer information you are authorized to use. The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or location. The current app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, manage trial and subscription access, calculate results, save and synchronize records, print receipts you request, answer support questions, and protect accounts against unauthorized access. Administrators can manage accounts, reset passwords, suspend access, and view calculation activity in the admin console.
The app does not collect payment-card details. Subscription activation is handled by an administrator; communications or payments arranged outside the app are handled through the services you choose.
3. Bluetooth and device permissions
Bluetooth access, including the Nearby devices permission on supported Android versions, is used to select and connect to paired receipt printers. Internet access is used for sign-in, account checks, and cloud synchronization. You can revoke Bluetooth permission in Android settings; printing will be unavailable until permission is restored.
When you print, the receipt contents are sent to your selected printer. Protect printed receipts and check that you have selected the correct printer.
5. Protecting information
The production service uses HTTPS for communications with the backend, hashed passwords, and account-based access checks. Printer communication uses Bluetooth. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device, account password, and printed receipts secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.
6. Data retention and deletion
Account and synchronized calculation records remain stored until deleted; subscription expiry, cancellation, or suspension does not automatically delete them. Local history remains on your device until you delete it or clear the app’s data. Deleting local history or uninstalling the app does not, by itself, delete synchronized cloud records, and cloud records can return after synchronization.
To request deletion of your Phoenix AU account and associated cloud calculation history, email scan2pick@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject “Phoenix AU account and data deletion”. You may also request deletion of specific records without deleting your account. Do not send your password.
We may ask for information needed to verify account ownership. We review deletion requests and explain any information that must be retained for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons, together with the applicable retention period. Backup copies may remain until the relevant backup retention cycle completes. Printed receipts and copies held on other devices are not removed by deleting cloud data.
7. Your choices and requests
You can change printer and currency preferences in the app and manage permissions through Android settings. Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
Phoenix AU is a business tool and is not intended for children. If you believe a child’s personal information has been provided to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features or data practices change. The current version will be available on this page with an updated date.
